White Almond Wedding Cake is a classic and elegant dessert perfect for weddings, celebrations, or any special occasion. This recipe creates a moist and flavorful cake with a delicate almond flavor and a light, tender crumb. The combination of white cake mix, flour, sugar, and a blend of extracts creates a deliciously fragrant and indulgent treat that will impress your guests.

Ingredients:

  • White cake mix
  • All-purpose flour
  • White sugar
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Sour cream
  • Vegetable oil
  • Almond extract
  • Vanilla extract
  • Egg whites

How To Make It:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and prepare an 11×13 inch cake pan by greasing and flouring it.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, stir together the white cake mix, flour, sugar, and salt until well mixed.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Pour in the water, sour cream, vegetable oil, almond extract, vanilla extract, and egg whites. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until all the ingredients are mixed and moistened, but some lumps still remain, for about 4 minutes.
  4. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake in the preheated oven until the top is a light golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
  5. Cool and Frost: Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting with your favorite frosting or icing.

Recipe Tips:

  • Be careful not to overmix the batter, as this can result in a tough cake. Mix just until the ingredients are combined and moistened.
  • For a more pronounced almond flavor, you can increase the amount of almond extract slightly.
  • Ensure that the cake is fully cooled before frosting to prevent the frosting from melting and sliding off the cake.
  • Decorate the cake with fresh flowers, edible pearls, or a simple dusting of powdered sugar for an elegant finishing touch.
