Taco Pizza combines the flavors of a classic taco with the convenience of pizza in a delightful fusion. The golden crescent roll crust provides a flaky and buttery base, while the layers of seasoned ground beef, refried beans, and melted cheese create a savory and satisfying experience. Topped with fresh tomatoes, black olives, and green onions, this pizza is a colorful and flavorful dish perfect for sharing.

TACO PIZZA

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans (jalapeño variety for extra kick)
  • 2-3 cups shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 4 green onions, chopped

How To Make TACO PIZZA:

Step 1: Preparing Taco Meat

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain any excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning to the ground beef according to the package directions.

Step 2: Preparing the Pizza Crust

  1. Heat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Unroll the crescent rolls into rectangles and place them in an ungreased 11 1/2 inch x 16 1/2 inch jelly roll pan or cookie sheet.
  3. Press the dough over the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides to form the crust.
  4. Bake at 375 degrees for 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 3: Assembling the Taco Pizza

  1. Microwave the refried beans in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute.
  2. Carefully spread the beans over the warm crust to create a thin layer.
  3. Top with the cooked beef mixture, sprinkle with cheese, and add tomatoes, black olives, and green onions.
  4. Return the pizza to the oven for an additional 3-6 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Step 4: Serving

  1. Serve the taco pizza immediately.
  2. Makes 12 main dish servings or 48 appetizers.

Tips:

  • Customize the toppings according to your preference, such as adding jalapeños, sour cream, or guacamole.
  • For a quicker option, use pre-made pizza dough or crust.
  • Cut into smaller squares for appetizer-sized servings at gatherings or parties.
  • Experiment with different cheese blends to enhance the pizza’s richness.
