Spinach Feta Stuffed Crescents are a delightful appetizer or snack that combines the earthy flavors of spinach, the tanginess of feta, and the gooey goodness of melted mozzarella, all wrapped in a flaky crescent roll.

Spinach Feta Stuffed Crescents

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls (8 oz each)
  • 4 oz feta cheese crumbles
  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 3 oz spinach, fresh or frozen
  • 2 oz black olives, diced
  • 1 egg white, beaten
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt, to taste

How To Make Spinach Feta Stuffed Crescents:

  1. Prepare Filling:
  • Chop the spinach and olives and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add feta cheese, shredded mozzarella, red pepper flakes, and salt to the bowl.
  • Toss the ingredients thoroughly to combine and set the bowl aside.
  1. Unroll Crescent Dough:
  • Preheat the oven to the temperature printed on the packaging for the crescent rolls.
  • Unroll the crescent dough and divide it into triangles.
  1. Add Filling:
  • Spoon small heaps of the spinach mixture onto the wide part of each crescent dough triangle.
  1. Roll Up Crescents:
  • Roll up each crescent, starting from the wide end and ending at the point.
  1. Brush with Egg White:
  • Place the rolled-up crescents on a greased cookie sheet.
  • Before baking, lightly brush each crescent with the beaten egg white.
  1. Bake:
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until the crescents are golden brown.

Tips:

  • When using frozen spinach, make sure to thaw and drain it well to remove excess moisture. Squeeze out any water to prevent the filling from becoming too wet.
  • Customize the level of spiciness by adjusting the amount of red pepper flakes according to your taste preferences.
  • Be gentle when rolling up the crescents to avoid overpacking them with filling. A moderate amount of filling ensures that the crescents bake evenly.
  • Lightly brushing the crescents with beaten egg white before baking gives them a beautiful golden brown color and a slight sheen.
  • Serve the Spinach Feta Stuffed Crescents warm for the best flavor and texture.
  • Consider serving these crescents with a side of marinara sauce or tzatziki for dipping.

These stuffed crescents are not only easy to make but also a crowd-pleaser with their flavorful filling and flaky exterior. Enjoy the delicious combination of spinach and feta in each bite!
