These Roasted Sweet Potatoes are a simple yet flavorful side dish that captures the natural sweetness of sweet potatoes enhanced with warm spices. Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 3 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into small cubes
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of ground ginger
  • Sea salt to taste

How to Make Roasted Sweet Potatoes:

Step 1: Preheat Oven

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.

Step 2: Prepare Sweet Potatoes

  1. Peel the sweet potatoes, cut them into small cubes, and spread them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 3: Prepare Butter Mixture

  1. Melt butter in the microwave. Drizzle olive oil over the sweet potatoes. Add melted butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground ginger, and sea salt.

Step 4: Toss and Coat

Step 5: Roast in the Oven

  1. Roast the sweet potatoes in the preheated oven for approximately 60 minutes. Turn the sweet potatoes once or twice during roasting to ensure even cooking.

Step 6: Check for Doneness

  1. Check for doneness by piercing a sweet potato cube with a fork. They should be tender and caramelized on the edges.

Step 7: Serve

  1. Once roasted to perfection, remove the sweet potatoes from the oven. Serve them hot as a delightful side dish.
