Loaded Sliced Baked Potatoes are a heavenly combination of crispy, buttery potato slices topped with savory bacon, gooey melted cheese, and the fresh kick of green onions. This dish takes the classic baked potato to new heights, offering a delightful medley of flavors and textures. Whether served as a side dish or a standalone snack, these loaded potatoes are sure to satisfy your cravings for comfort food.

LOADED SLICED BAKED POTATOES

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4-5 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup grated cheese of your choice
  • 4 strips of cooked bacon

How To Make LOADED SLICED BAKED POTATOES:

Step 1: Preparing the Potatoes

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Slice the potatoes into approximately ¼” thick rounds.
  3. Brush both sides of the potato slices with melted butter.
  4. Place the buttered potato slices on a cookie sheet.

Step 2: Baking the Potatoes

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until the slices are lightly browned on both sides, turning once during the baking process.

Step 3: Loading the Potatoes

  1. When the potatoes are ready, top them with cooked bacon, grated cheese, and chopped green onions.
  2. Continue baking until the cheese has melted and achieved a gooey, delicious texture.

Step 4: Serving

  1. Once the cheese has melted, remove the loaded sliced baked potatoes from the oven.
  2. Optionally, add a dollop of sour cream for extra creaminess.
  3. Enjoy these loaded potatoes as a delightful side dish or a satisfying snack!

Tips:

  • Experiment with different cheese varieties such as cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend for unique flavor profiles.
  • Customize the toppings to your liking—try adding diced tomatoes, jalapeños, or a sprinkle of fresh herbs.
  • Ensure even baking by arranging the potato slices in a single layer on the cookie sheet.
  • For a quicker option, use pre-cooked or leftover baked potatoes and simply warm them in the oven with the toppings.
