Limoncello Pudding Shots are a creamy, citrusy delight with a boozy twist, making them the perfect party treat for summer gatherings or special events. These easy-to-make shots combine the tangy flavor of lemon pudding with the refreshing kick of limoncello liqueur, all topped with fluffy whipped cream. The result is a fun, sweet, and zesty dessert that’s ideal for serving in small, shareable portions. They’re as fun to eat as they are to make, and you can dress them up with garnishes like lemon slices, zest, or sprinkles for added flair.

Ingredients

  • 3.4 oz box instant lemon pudding mix
  • 1 ½ cups cold whole milk
  • ¾ cup limoncello liqueur
  • 16 oz whipped topping, thawed (divided into two 8 oz portions)
  • Optional garnishes: lemon slices, candied lemon, lemon zest, mint, or sprinkles

Instructions

1. Prepare the Pudding Base:

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the lemon pudding mix and 1 ½ cups of cold whole milk until smooth and combined.
  • Add ¾ cup of limoncello liqueur to the mixture and whisk vigorously for about 2 minutes, until it starts to thicken.

2. Add Whipped Topping:

  • Fold in one 8-ounce container of whipped topping until the mixture is creamy and there are no visible streaks.
  • Place the bowl in the fridge for 5 minutes to allow the pudding to set.

3. Portion the Shots:

  • Arrange 28 small, 2-ounce plastic cups or shot glasses on a baking sheet for easy transfer.
  • Spoon or pipe about 3 tablespoons of the pudding mixture into each cup.
  • Cover each cup with its lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the pudding chill and set.

4. Garnish and Serve:

  • Just before serving, pipe the remaining 8-ounce container of whipped topping onto the top of each pudding shot.
  • Garnish with your choice of lemon slices, lemon zest, candied lemon, mint leaves, or sprinkles for a fun, decorative touch.

Tips for the Best Limoncello Pudding Shots:

  • Chill Time: Ensure the pudding shots have at least an hour in the fridge for the flavors to meld and the texture to set properly.
  • Presentation: For a more polished presentation, use a piping bag to add the whipped topping, or garnish with bright lemon zest for a fresh, zesty look.
  • Make Ahead: These can be made a day in advance, making them an ideal party dessert. Just add the whipped topping right before serving.

Limoncello Pudding Shots are a refreshing combination of tart lemon and sweet cream with a splash of boozy fun. They’re easy to prepare, customizable, and perfect for sharing at any celebration!
