Ingredients:
- 1 package of fudge brownie mix
- 2 packages of miniature Reese’s peanut butter cups
- 4 cups of cold milk (preferably 2%)
- 2 packages of instant vanilla pudding
- 1 cup of creamy peanut butter
- 4 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- Thawed Cool Whip (2 cans of 8 oz each)
Instructions:
- Prepare Brownies: Follow the instructions on the brownie mix package to prepare the batter. Pour the batter into a 12×9-inch buttered baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. Let the brownies cool on a wire rack, then slice into 3/4-inch-thick slices. Halve the peanut butter cups and set aside.
- Prepare Pudding Mixture: In a large bowl, beat the vanilla pudding mix with the cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened. Add the peanut butter and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. Fold in 1 1/2 cups of thawed Cool Whip until fully incorporated.
- Assemble Dessert: In a 5-quart glass dish, layer one-third of the brownie slices. Top with half of the halved peanut butter cups and one-third of the pudding mixture. Repeat the layers, ending with the remaining pudding mixture on top.
- Final Touches: Sprinkle the remaining halved peanut butter cups over the top of the dessert. Spread the remaining thawed Cool Whip over the peanut butter cups. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for a few minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
Tips:
- For an extra indulgent touch, drizzle melted chocolate over the top of the dessert before serving.
- You can customize this dessert by using different types of pudding flavors or swapping out the peanut butter cups for your favorite candy.
- Make sure the brownies are completely cooled before assembling the dessert to prevent the layers from becoming too soggy.
- Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Enjoy chilled straight from the fridge!
