This Creamy Grape and Strawberry Salad is a delightful blend of fresh fruit, crunchy pecans, and a luscious creamy dressing. The combination of sweet grapes, juicy strawberries, and nutty pecans, all coated in a creamy mixture of cream cheese, sour cream, and sugar, creates a perfect balance of flavors and textures. This salad is not only delicious but also visually appealing, making it a great addition to any brunch, picnic, or summer gathering. It’s versatile enough to serve as a side dish alongside a meal or as a light dessert option. Enjoy the refreshing sweetness of this salad with every bite!

Ingredients:

  • 4 pounds green seedless grapes
  • 4 pounds red seedless grapes
  • 2 cups pecans
  • 1 L strawberries
  • 16 oz. sour cream
  • 16 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Vanilla extract

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the Creamy Dressing:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Gradually add the sour cream and a splash of vanilla extract, mixing well until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
  2. Prepare the Fruit:
Wash and dry the grapes and strawberries. Remove the stems from the strawberries and slice them into halves or quarters, depending on their size.
  3. Assemble the Salad:
Add the grapes, strawberries, and pecans to the creamy dressing mixture. Gently fold everything together until the fruit and nuts are evenly coated with the creamy dressing.
  4. Chill and Serve:
Cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld together and the salad to chill. Before serving, give it a gentle stir to redistribute the dressing.
  5. Serve and Enjoy:
Transfer the creamy grape and strawberry salad to a serving dish and garnish with additional pecans if desired. Serve chilled as a refreshing side dish or dessert option.

Tips:

  • Make sure to thoroughly coat the fruit and pecans with the creamy dressing to ensure every bite is flavorful.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste preferences and the sweetness of the fruit.
  • You can add a hint of citrus zest (such as lemon or orange) to enhance the flavor of the salad.
  • For extra crunch, toast the pecans lightly before adding them to the salad.
  • Refrigerate any leftovers promptly and consume within a few days for the best taste and texture.
