These Garlic Butter Steak Kabobs are a savory, tender, and flavorful treat perfect for any grilling season! Cubed sirloin or ribeye steak is marinated in a rich garlic butter mixture infused with a hint of lemon and tomato paste, giving each bite a deep, delicious taste. Paired with onions and grilled to perfection, these kabobs are juicy on the inside and beautifully seared on the outside. Drizzle with reserved garlic butter for an extra burst of flavor. Serve these kabobs at your next cookout for an easy, crowd-pleasing dish that’s ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • For the Steak:
  • 1 ½ pounds sirloin or ribeye steak, trimmed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Garlic Butter Marinade:
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Garnish:
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak and Marinade:
  • Trim any excess fat from the steak and cut it into 1-inch cubes. Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the olive oil and garlic for about 20 seconds. Add the butter and heat for an additional 20 seconds or until melted. Stir in the lemon juice.
  • Reserve 4 tablespoons of this butter mixture for serving, then stir in the tomato paste to the rest of the marinade.
  1. Marinate the Steak:
  • Pour the tomato-infused garlic butter over the steak cubes and toss quickly to coat. Marinate for 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours, for deeper flavor.
  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
  1. Grill the Kabobs:
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375°F).
  • Thread the steak cubes and onion pieces onto the skewers, discarding any leftover marinade.
  • Grill for about 9-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the steak reaches your desired doneness (125-130°F for medium-rare). Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
  1. Serve with Garlic Butter Drizzle:
  • Drizzle the kabobs with the reserved garlic butter mixture, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve hot.

Tips for the Perfect Garlic Butter Steak Kabobs

  • Choice of Meat: Sirloin and ribeye work best, but any tender cut of steak will be delicious.
  • Basting Option: If desired, reserve some of the marinade to brush over the kabobs while grilling for extra flavor.
  • Serve with Sides: These kabobs pair well with rice, grilled vegetables, or a fresh green salad.
  • Doneness Check: Keep a close eye on the grill and use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking the steak.

These garlic butter steak kabobs make an elegant yet easy meal, packed with savory goodness that’s perfect for gatherings or a simple family dinner. Enjoy!
