Indulge in the delightful goodness of Fruit Cobbler, where juicy diced strawberries meet a golden-brown cake topping. This classic dessert combines the sweetness of fresh fruit with the comforting warmth of a baked cobbler. The strawberry glaze adds an extra layer of flavor, making each bite a heavenly treat.

Fruit Cobbler

Ingredients:

  • 470 grams diced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup almond milk
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter

How to Make:

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2: Prepare the Fruit Layer

  1. In a 2-quart ceramic baking dish, add the diced strawberries.

Step 3: Make Strawberry Glaze

  1. Combine granulated sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl. Whisk to coat the strawberries evenly with this mixture.

Step 4: Let it Sit

  1. Allow the strawberry mixture to stand at room temperature while you prepare the cake filling.

Step 5: Prepare Cake Filling

  1. In a separate medium mixing bowl, combine sugar, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir well to ensure everything is thoroughly mixed.

Step 6: Add Wet Ingredients

  1. Pour in almond milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter into the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.

Step 7: Assemble and Bake

  1. Pour the cake batter over the layer of diced strawberries in the baking dish.

Step 8: Bake Until Golden Brown

  1. Bake in the preheated oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Step 9: Serve Warm

  1. Serve the cobbler while it’s still warm for the best experience.

Tips:

  • Freshness Matters: Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor. The natural sweetness of ripe strawberries enhances the overall taste of the cobbler.
  • Serve with Ice Cream: Elevate your fruit cobbler experience by serving it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The warm cobbler and cold ice cream create a delightful contrast.
  • Adjust Sweetness: Depending on the sweetness of your strawberries, you can adjust the sugar quantity in the strawberry glaze to suit your taste preferences.
  • Quick and Easy: This fruit cobbler recipe is not only delicious but also quick and easy to prepare, making it a perfect dessert for any occasion.
