Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prepare:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 or 10 inch tube/Bundt(R) pan.
  1. Coat the Biscuit Pieces:
  • Mix the white sugar and cinnamon in a plastic bag.
  • Cut each biscuit into quarters.
  • Shake 6 to 8 biscuit pieces in the sugar-cinnamon mix until coated.
  • Arrange the coated biscuit pieces in the bottom of the prepared pan. Continue until all biscuits are coated and placed in the pan.
  • If using nuts and raisins, sprinkle them in and among the biscuit pieces as you go along.
  1. Prepare the Sauce:
  • In a small saucepan, melt the margarine with the brown sugar over medium heat.
  • Boil for 1 minute.
  1. Assemble and Bake:
  • Pour the margarine-brown sugar mixture over the biscuits in the pan.
  1. Bake:
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
  1. Serve:
  • Allow the monkey bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  • Invert the pan onto a plate to release the monkey bread. Do not cut! The bread will pull apart easily, creating irresistibly gooey and delicious bites.
