Indulge in the creamy decadence of this Double Crust Cheesecake, a luxurious dessert featuring a velvety cream cheese filling sandwiched between layers of buttery graham cracker crust. Perfect for special occasions or a delightful treat any day of the week, this cheesecake is sure to impress with its rich flavor and smooth texture. Topped with a generous layer of whipped cream, this cheesecake is a heavenly indulgence that will leave you craving for more.

Ingredients:

  • Graham Cracker Crust: Made with crushed graham crackers, light brown sugar, and melted butter, the crust provides a sweet and crunchy base that complements the creamy cheesecake filling.
  • Cheesecake Filling: A luscious mixture of cream cheese, sugar, sour cream, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and whipped cream creates a smooth and velvety texture that melts in your mouth.

How To Make It:

  1. Prepare Crust: Combine crushed graham crackers, light brown sugar, and melted butter to form the crust mixture. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan and freeze to set.
  2. Whip Cream: Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then add powdered sugar or cornstarch for stability.
  3. Make Filling: Cream together cream cheese and sugar, then add sour cream, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and remaining powdered sugar. Fold in whipped cream until smooth.
  4. Assemble Cheesecake: Pour filling into the prepared crust and smooth the top. Sprinkle remaining crust mixture over the filling and press gently.
  5. Chill: Cover the cheesecake with parchment paper and plastic wrap, then refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight to set.
  6. Serve: Slice and serve the chilled cheesecake, optionally accompanied by fresh strawberries.

Tips:

  • Press Crust Firmly: Ensure the crust is tightly packed into the pan to prevent it from crumbling when sliced.
  • Stabilize Whipped Cream: Adding powdered sugar or cornstarch to the whipped cream helps it retain its shape and texture.
  • Smooth Filling: Press down on the filling as you smooth it out to eliminate air pockets and create an even surface.
  • Chill Thoroughly: Refrigerate the cheesecake for the recommended time to allow it to set properly before slicing and serving.
  • Customize Toppings: Garnish the cheesecake with fresh fruit, chocolate shavings, or caramel sauce for added flavor and presentation.
