This Crockpot Barbecue Ribs recipe simplifies the process of making delicious, tender ribs right in your slow cooker. The combination of tangy barbecue sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce creates a flavorful marinade for the ribs, while the slow cooking process ensures they become tender and juicy. Whether you’re hosting a backyard barbecue or simply craving a comforting meal, these ribs are sure to be a hit.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 4 to 5 pounds baby back ribs

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Sauce:
In a zip-top bag, combine barbecue sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper (if using). Seal the bag and knead it to mix the ingredients well.
  2. Coat the Ribs:
Place the baby back ribs in the bag with the sauce. Seal the bag again and shake it to completely coat the ribs with the sauce.
  3. Prepare the Crockpot:
Spray the inner part of the crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Cook the Ribs:
Place the ribs in the crockpot and pour half of the sauce from the bag over them, ensuring they are evenly covered.
  5. Select Cooking Time:
Cook the ribs on high heat for 4 to 5 hours for fall-off-the-bone meat, or on low heat for 9 hours. For meat that is tender but still on the bone, cook on low heat for 7 hours.
  6. Serve:
Serve the cooked ribs with additional sauce on the side for dipping.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality barbecue sauce for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper according to your spice preference.
  • If you prefer, you can marinate the ribs in the sauce overnight in the refrigerator for even more flavor.
  • Make sure to coat the ribs evenly with the sauce to ensure they cook evenly and are flavorful throughout.
  • Serve the ribs with your favorite side dishes, such as coleslaw, cornbread, or roasted vegetables, for a complete meal.
