Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 roll crescent rolls
  • 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded

How To Make Crescent and Chicken Roll-Ups

  1. Preheat Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  1. Prepare Chicken Filling:
  • In a large bowl, use two forks to shred the cooked chicken breasts.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the condensed cream of chicken soup with the chicken broth until well combined.
  • Add the shredded chicken to the soup mixture and stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  1. Assemble Roll-Ups:
  • Open the can of crescent rolls and lay them out on a flat surface with the wide end closest to you.
  • Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture on the wide end of each crescent roll and roll up towards the point.
  • Gently pinch the edges of the dough to ensure the roll stays together.
  1. Bake Roll-Ups:
  • Place the filled crescent rolls on the prepared baking tray.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  1. Add Cheese Topping:
  • After 25 minutes, remove the tray from the oven and sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top of the crescent rolls.
  • Return the tray to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  1. Serve:
  • Once the cheese is melted, remove the tray from the oven and let the roll-ups cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Description and Tips

Tips:

  • Chicken Preparation: For a quicker prep, use a rotisserie chicken from the store. It’s already cooked and easy to shred.
  • Soup Mixture: Ensure the condensed cream of chicken soup and chicken broth are well mixed to avoid any lumps in the filling.
  • Crescent Rolls: Make sure to pinch the edges of the crescent rolls tightly to prevent the filling from spilling out during baking.
  • Cheese Topping: Adding the cheese towards the end of baking prevents it from burning and ensures a gooey, melted topping.
  • Variations: Feel free to add your favorite herbs or spices to the chicken mixture for extra flavor. You can also experiment with different types of cheese.

Enjoy these delicious Crescent and Chicken Roll-Ups as a quick meal or a crowd-pleasing snack!
