This Crab Seafood Salad is a refreshing and flavorful dish that’s perfect for a light lunch or a side at dinner. Made with imitation crab meat, crunchy celery, and a creamy dressing, it’s simple to prepare and bursting with delicious flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup minced celery
  • 1 lb imitation crab (krab) meat
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 shallot, minced (or red onion)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Salad:
  • In a large bowl, combine the minced celery, imitation crab meat, dill, mayonnaise, paprika, minced shallot, kosher salt, and black pepper.
  1. Mix Ingredients:
  • Gently mix all the ingredients together until well blended. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
  1. Chill the Salad:
  • Place the bowl of crab salad in the refrigerator to chill for at least an hour. Chilling allows the flavors to meld together and enhances the taste of the salad.
  1. Serve:
  • Once chilled, remove the crab seafood salad from the refrigerator and give it a quick stir.
  • Serve the salad as a refreshing appetizer, a light lunch, or as a side dish alongside your favorite main course.

Tips:

  • For added freshness, you can squeeze a little lemon juice over the salad before serving.
  • Feel free to customize the salad to your liking by adding ingredients like chopped parsley, diced bell peppers, or a dash of hot sauce for some heat.
  • Serve the crab salad on a bed of lettuce or as a filling for sandwiches or wraps for a delicious meal option.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
