Country Apple Fritter Bread is a delightful and comforting treat that combines the flavors of sweet apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a moist and tender loaf. Country Apple Fritter Bread
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup Light brown sugar
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 2/3 cup White sugar
- 1/2 cup Butter, softened
- 2 Eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 2 Apples, peeled and chopped (any kind)
Old-Fashioned Creme Glaze:
- 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp Milk or cream
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by spraying with non-stick spray or lining with foil and spraying with non-stick spray.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a medium-sized bowl, beat the white sugar and softened butter together using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until well blended. Then, add the vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed butter mixture, stirring until well combined.
- Mix in the milk until the batter is smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Layer half of the chopped apples and half of the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture on top of the batter. Lightly pat down the apple mixture.
- Pour the remaining batter over the apple layer and top with the remaining chopped apples and brown sugar/cinnamon mixture. Again, lightly pat down the apple mixture.
- Use a knife or spoon to swirl the brown sugar mixture through the apples in the batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool for about 15 minutes before drizzling with the creme glaze.

- Use any variety of apple you prefer for this recipe, such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Gala.
- Be sure to properly prepare your loaf pan to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal of the bread.
