This Chocolate Brownie Cake is the perfect marriage of moist chocolate cake and rich fudge brownie, creating a decadent treat for chocolate lovers. The ganache topping adds a layer of velvety chocolate goodness, making this dessert irresistible. The bundt shape adds an elegant touch, making it suitable for any special occasion.

Chocolate Brownie Cake with Ganache

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box fudge brownie mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 cup oil

For the Ganache:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 bag (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate morsels

How To Make Chocolate Brownie Cake:

Step 1: Preparing the Cake

  1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a bundt pan by using bakers spray or the butter/flour method.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, fudge brownie mix, eggs, water, and oil. Whisk the ingredients for about 2 minutes or until most lumps are gone.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 50-55 minutes.
  4. Once done baking, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for up to five minutes. Carefully turn the cake out onto a cooling rack and cool for an additional 30 minutes.

For the Ganache:

  1. Place the heavy whipping cream in a large microwave-safe bowl and heat for about 2 minutes until it just starts to boil.
  2. Carefully pour the chocolate morsels into the hot cream. It may bubble, and that’s okay.
  3. Allow the mixture to sit for 5 minutes. Whisk the chocolate and cream until smooth and shiny, which takes about 1 minute.
  4. Pour the ganache over the cooled cake.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Ensure that the bundt pan is thoroughly greased to prevent sticking.
  • Allow the cake to cool sufficiently before applying the ganache to avoid it melting into the cake.
  • Experiment with toppings like chopped nuts or sprinkles for added texture and flavor.
  • Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an indulgent treat.
  • Store any leftover cake in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
