Caramel Cream Cheese Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 4 eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup caramel topping
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prepare:
  • Preheat your oven to 350º F (175º C) and lightly grease two 9×5-inch loaf pans with butter or non-stick spray.
  1. Cream Butter, Cream Cheese, and Sugar:
  • In a large bowl or using a mixer, cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until smooth and well combined.
  1. Incorporate Wet Ingredients:
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, ensuring each ingredient is fully incorporated.
  1. Combine Dry Ingredients:
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon until evenly combined.
  1. Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients:
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
  1. Layer Batter in Loaf Pans:
  • Divide the batter evenly between the prepared loaf pans, pouring approximately 1/4 of the batter into each pan.
  1. Add Caramel Swirl:
  • Spoon 1/4 cup of caramel topping onto the batter in each pan, swirling it gently with a knife or toothpick. Be sure to keep the caramel away from the edges of the pan.
  1. Complete the Layers:
  • Carefully add the remaining batter on top of the caramel layers, ensuring an even distribution in each pan.
  1. Bake:
  • Place the loaf pans in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
  1. Cool and Serve:
    • Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pans for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve this delicious Caramel Cream Cheese Bread and enjoy!

  • Room temperature ingredients ensure proper mixing and a smoother batter.
