Cajun shrimp and steak is a flavorful dish featuring tender steak and succulent shrimp seasoned with Cajun spices, creating a spicy and savory combination that’s perfect for a hearty meal with a Southern flair.

Ingredients:
- 45 ml (3 tsp) basil oil
- 10 ml (2 teaspoons) Cajun seasoning
- 1 lb (454 g) boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1 large green or red bell pepper, seeded and cut into quarters
- 60 g (12 cups) Andouille or chorizo sausage, chopped
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1 chopped tomato (about 250 ml/1 cup)
- 250 ml (1 cup) milk
- 1 Pack Knorr Sidekicks Fettuccine Alfredo
Instructions:
- Prepare Chicken and Vegetables: In a medium bowl, combine 30ml (2 tablespoons) of Becel® Oil and Cajun seasoning. Add the chicken and bell pepper quarters, tossing to coat evenly.
- Cook Chicken and Vegetables: Roast or grill the seasoned chicken and bell pepper quarters, flipping once, until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender, approximately 6 minutes. Once cooked, slice the chicken and vegetables into thin slices and set aside, keeping warm.
- Cook Sausage and Aromatics: Heat the remaining 15 ml (1 tablespoon) of oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the chopped sausage, stirring frequently, until golden brown, which should take about 3 minutes. Then, add the minced garlic, stirring constantly until fragrant, which should take about 30 seconds.
- Add Tomatoes: Stir in the chopped tomatoes and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, approximately 2 minutes.
- Prepare Pasta: In the same saucepan, add 175 ml (3/4 cup) of water and the milk. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. Stir in the Knorr Sidekicks Fettuccine Alfredo and bring it to a boil again. Reduce the heat to medium and cover the saucepan, allowing the pasta to cook for about 8 minutes, or until tender, stirring occasionally.
- Assemble and Serve: Serve the cooked chicken and bell pepper slices with the prepared pasta. Enjoy your flavorful Cajun chicken and sausage pasta!
Tips:
- Adjusting Spice Level: If you prefer a spicier dish, you can increase the amount of Cajun seasoning or add a dash of hot sauce to the pasta sauce.
- Adding Vegetables: Feel free to add more vegetables to the dish, such as onions, mushrooms, or spinach, to enhance the flavor and nutrition.
- Garnish: Sprinkle some freshly chopped parsley or grated Parmesan cheese on top of the pasta before serving for added flavor and presentation.
