These Bisquick Cinnamon Rolls are a quick and delightful twist on the classic treat. Perfect for weekend breakfasts or a special brunch, these rolls come together in no time, thanks to the convenience of Bisquick. The combination of brown sugar, cinnamon, and a rich glaze makes them irresistibly gooey and flavorful. No yeast required, so you can enjoy these sweet rolls without the wait!

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 2 1/2 cups Bisquick: The base for a quick and tender dough.
  • 1/3 cup milk: Adds moisture to the dough.
  • 1 egg: Helps bind and enrich the dough.

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup brown sugar: Provides sweetness and a rich caramelized flavor.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar: Adds a slight crunch.
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon: The star spice for the perfect cinnamon roll flavor.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional): Adds texture and nutty flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted: Helps bind the filling and enhances flavor.

For the Glaze:

  • 3/4 cup butter, melted and cooled: Adds richness to the glaze.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar: Creates a smooth, sweet glaze.
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk: Adjusts glaze consistency.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract: Adds a hint of warmth and depth.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 25 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Servings: 8-10 rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or a round baking pan.
  2. Prepare the Dough:
In a medium bowl, mix Bisquick, milk, and egg until a soft dough forms. Sprinkle a clean surface with a little extra Bisquick and roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.
  3. Make the Filling:
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nuts (if using). Brush the rolled-out dough with 2 tablespoons of melted butter, then sprinkle the sugar mixture evenly over it.
  4. Roll and Cut:
Starting at one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice into 1-inch pieces and arrange them cut side up in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake the Rolls:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Prepare the Glaze:
While the rolls bake, whisk together melted butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Adjust the milk to achieve your desired glaze consistency.
  7. Glaze and Serve:
Once the rolls are baked, drizzle the glaze generously over the warm rolls. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Tips for Success

  • Rolling the Dough: Don’t overwork the dough, as it may become tough. Roll it out gently for the best texture.
  • Even Slices: Use dental floss or a sharp knife for cleanly slicing the rolled dough without squishing it.
  • Custom Toppings: Swap the nuts for raisins, or leave them out entirely for a smoother filling.
  • Extra Gooey Glaze: Double the glaze recipe for an extra indulgent treat!

These Bisquick Cinnamon Rolls are a sweet and satisfying option when you’re craving cinnamon rolls but want to skip the lengthy prep time. Perfectly soft, warm, and covered in creamy glaze, they’re sure to be a hit with family and friends.
