Baked crab legs in butter sauce are a delightful seafood dish that brings the taste of the ocean to your dinner table. Perfect for crab season or any occasion when you’re craving tender and juicy crab meat, this recipe is simple yet incredibly flavorful. The combination of sweet crab meat, rich butter, garlic, and zesty lemon creates a mouthwatering dish that will impress your family and friends.

Ingredients:

  • King crab legs
  • Unsalted butter
  • Garlic
  • Creole seasoning
  • Lemon juice
  • Chopped chives or parsley
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

How To Make Baked Crab Legs in Butter Sauce:

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the crab legs by cutting them in half to expose the flesh.
  2. Place the crab legs in an oven-safe pan or on a baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, Creole seasoning, and lemon juice. Microwave the mixture until heated through.
  4. Brush the crab legs with the butter mixture, ensuring they are well coated. Reserve any excess sauce for serving.
  5. Bake the crab legs in the preheated oven until heated through, about 5 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle chopped chives or parsley over the crab legs before serving.
  7. Serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing over the meat.

Recipe Tips:

  • To easily cut the crab legs, use kitchen shears or scissors instead of a knife.
  • Be cautious not to overcook the crab legs, as they can become tough and rubbery. Aim to heat them through just until warmed.
  • Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your preference. You can add more or less Creole seasoning depending on your taste preferences.
  • Serve the baked crab legs with additional melted butter or lemon wedges on the side for dipping or squeezing over the meat.
