This Apple Salad is a refreshing, sweet, and tangy combination of fresh apples, grapes, cranberries, and candied pecans, all brought together with a luscious, creamy dressing made from vanilla yogurt and pudding. The blend of textures—crunchy apples, chewy cranberries, and soft grapes—makes every bite a delight. The creamy dressing adds a sweet, tangy flavor that perfectly complements the fruit, making this salad a great addition to any meal or a light dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 5 apples (a mix of green and red for a balance of tart and sweet)
  • ½ cup dried cranberries and candied pecans
  • 1 cup red grapes, halved
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup vanilla pudding

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fruit:
Core the apples and cut them into small cubes. Slice the red grapes in half for easier bites.
  2. Assemble the Salad:
In a large bowl, combine the cubed apples, dried cranberries, candied pecans, and halved grapes. Stir gently to mix.
  3. Make the Creamy Dressing:
Add the vanilla yogurt and vanilla pudding to the fruit mixture. Stir until everything is evenly coated with the creamy dressing.
  4. Serve & Store:
Serve the salad immediately, making sure the dressing is equally distributed. Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container.

Tips:

  • Apple Varieties: Using a combination of tart green apples and sweet red apples adds a nice flavor contrast. Feel free to use your favorite apple varieties.
  • Customize the Add-ins: You can swap out the dried cranberries and candied pecans for other dried fruits or nuts like raisins, walnuts, or almonds, depending on your preference.
  • Chill for Extra Flavor: While this salad can be served right away, letting it chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes allows the flavors to meld together and makes the salad even more refreshing.
  • Optional Add-ins: For added texture, toss in some mini marshmallows or shredded coconut. They give the salad a fun, dessert-like twist.
  • Healthier Option: To reduce the sweetness or make it lighter, you can use plain Greek yogurt in place of vanilla yogurt, or use sugar-free pudding.

This Apple Salad is perfect for potlucks, gatherings, or as a quick, easy side dish that’s both nutritious and delicious!
