This Air Fryer Turkey Breast recipe delivers a tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned turkey breast in a fraction of the time compared to traditional oven roasting. Using an air fryer ensures a crispy outer layer with a moist interior, making this dish ideal for smaller gatherings or quick, weeknight dinners. With just a few simple ingredients, this turkey breast is flavorful and pairs well with a wide variety of side dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 boneless turkey breast (2-2 ½ pounds)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, or sage), optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Air Fryer
  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for optimal cooking.
  1. Season the Turkey Breast
  • Rub the turkey breast with olive oil to help the seasoning adhere and promote a golden, crispy exterior.
  • Sprinkle the turkey evenly with kosher salt, poultry seasoning, black pepper, and fresh herbs, if using.
  1. Cook in the Air Fryer
  • Place the seasoned turkey breast, skin side down, in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 20 minutes, then carefully flip the turkey breast over to skin side up. Continue cooking for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the breast reads 160°F. (The temperature will rise to a safe 165°F as it rests.)
  1. Rest and Slice
  • Remove the turkey breast from the air fryer basket and let it rest for 10 minutes. This resting period allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in tender, flavorful slices.
  • Slice and serve warm with your favorite sides.

Tips for the Best Air Fryer Turkey Breast

  • Monitor the Temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure your turkey breast is perfectly cooked without drying out. It should reach 160°F in the air fryer, rising to 165°F as it rests.
  • Optional Fresh Herbs: Fresh rosemary, thyme, or sage add an aromatic flavor to the turkey, enhancing its savory profile.
  • Crispy Skin: Starting skin-side down helps render the fat, while finishing skin-side up crisps the skin to perfection.

This Air Fryer Turkey Breast is an easy, delicious option for holiday dinners, weeknight meals, or whenever you’re craving tender, homemade turkey!
