Ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless pork chops, ½-inch thick
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, divided
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder, divided
  • 2 large eggs
  • Splash of water
  • ⅓ cup seasoned Italian breadcrumbs
  • ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for garnish
  • Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

1. Season the Pork Chops:

  • Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper, and set them aside.

2. Prepare the Breading Station:

  • Set up three shallow bowls for breading:
    • Bowl 1: Whisk together the flour, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and ½ teaspoon onion powder.
    • Bowl 2: Whisk the eggs, splash of water, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and ½ teaspoon onion powder.
    • Bowl 3: Mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

3. Bread the Pork Chops:

  • Dip each pork chop into Bowl 1 (flour mixture) to evenly coat, shaking off any excess.
  • Next, dip the floured pork chop into Bowl 2 (egg mixture), allowing any excess egg to drip off.
  • Finally, dip it into Bowl 3 (breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture), coating evenly. Shake off any extra breadcrumbs.
  • Repeat the process for the remaining pork chops.

4. Preheat the Air Fryer:

  • If your air fryer requires preheating, set it to 400°F and let it heat for 5 minutes.

5. Air Fry the Pork Chops:

  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Place the breaded pork chops in the basket, ensuring they don’t touch. Spray the tops of the pork chops with additional cooking spray.
  • Air fry for 4 minutes. Flip the pork chops, spray the tops again with cooking spray, and continue air frying for another 4 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F.

6. Garnish and Serve:

  • Once done, garnish the pork chops with freshly chopped parsley and a sprinkle of extra Parmesan cheese, if desired.
