This Air Fryer Chicken Breast recipe is a simple, healthy way to make juicy, tender chicken that’s perfectly seasoned and ready in minutes. The air fryer helps create a golden exterior while keeping the inside moist, making it ideal for salads, sandwiches, or enjoying on its own. With minimal prep and a quick cook time, this recipe is perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep!

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (6-7 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Seasoning Mix
(or substitute with your favorite seasoning blend)

  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
  • Set the air fryer to 370°F (190°C) to preheat.
  1. Prepare the Seasoning:
  • In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and oregano for a quick, flavorful seasoning blend.
  1. Season the Chicken:
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Rub each breast with olive oil, then coat evenly with the seasoning mix.
  1. Cook the Chicken:
  • Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure they’re not overlapping for even cooking.
  • Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken over and continue cooking for an additional 6-9 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  1. Rest and Serve:
  • Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes to lock in the juices before slicing. Enjoy as a main dish or use in salads, wraps, or bowls.

Tips for Perfect Air Fryer Chicken Breast

  • Pat Dry: Removing moisture from the chicken before seasoning helps achieve a slightly crisp exterior.
  • Check Temperature Early: Air fryer models vary, so check the internal temperature a few minutes before the recommended cook time to prevent overcooking.
  • Resting Time: Letting the chicken rest after cooking helps the juices redistribute, resulting in extra moist, flavorful meat.

This air fryer chicken breast recipe is a great base for so many meals and easily customizable with your favorite spices or marinades. Tender, flavorful, and hassle-free, it’s a fantastic way to make quick, healthy chicken any night of the week!
